Richard joined the Tawfik Lab as a resident researcher in January 2023 as part of the Fellowship in Anesthesiology Research and Medicine track. He received his MD at the University of California, San Francisco, and is currently an Anesthesiology resident at Stanford University. In the Tawfik lab, Richard is excited to pursue clinically relevant questions in the field of Pain using advanced computational techniques and collaboration with others in the lab.

Outside of the lab, Richard enjoys hiking, snorkeling, running, and playing with his dogs.
