biography
Richard joined the Tawfik Lab as a resident researcher in January 2023 as part of the Fellowship in Anesthesiology Research and Medicine track. After completion of his subspecialty fellowship in Pain Medicine, he returned to the lab as an Instuctor/Postdoc. He received his MD at the University of California, San Francisco. In the Tawfik lab, Richard is excited to pursue clinically relevant questions in the field of Pain using advanced computational techniques and collaboration with others in the lab.
Outside of the lab, Richard enjoys hiking, snorkeling, running, and playing with his dogs.
