Amy will join the lab as a postdoctoral fellow in September, 2021. Her PhD research from University of Minnesota focused on astrocyte modulation of blood flow during glucose deprivation. Amy is interested in functional and structural changes to astrocytes during pain states, focusing on region specific astrocyte heterogeneity.

In addition to doing research, Amy is also interested in science writing and communication. When not in the lab, she enjoys baking bread, hiking, and hanging out in bookstores.
