JT received a BS in Neuroscience and BA in Psychology from University of Washington – Seattle. His research work in the Zweifel Lab explored social reward in mice utilizing miniscope imaging and fiber photometry in the mesolimbic reward pathway. In the Tawfik lab, JT is excited to dive into the booming field of senescence and its involvement in aging and pain.
Outside of lab, JT enjoys trying new foods and drinks, golfing, and watching sports. He especially loves boba and sushi, and hopes to travel all over the world to experience it.
