Chelsie L. Brewer, PhD Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Brewer completed her postdoctoral fellowship in the Tawfik lab and is now an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati.
Akila Ram, PhD Postdoctoral Scholar
Akila joined the Tawfik Lab in August 2021 as a postdoctoral scholar and now works in industry.
Gabriella Muwanga, PhD Graduate Student
Gabriella Muwanga completed her PhD in Neuroscience in the Tawfik Lab. She now works as a Scientific Analyst at a Patent Law Office.

Janelle Siliezar-Doyle, PhD Graduate Student
Janelle Siliezar-Doyle completed her PhD in Neuroscience in the Tawfik Lab. She is now a postdoctoral fellow at OHSU.
Shaogen Wu, MD, PHD Postdoctoral Scholar
Shaogen joined the Tawfik Lab as a Postdoctoral fellow in March 2019. He is now pursuing research at UTMB.

Laura Colman, MD Visiting Scholar
Laura joined the Tawfik lab in September 2023 as a visiting scholar and is now a Psychiatry resident at KU Leuven.
Ryosuke Ishida, MD PhD Visting Scholar
Ryo joined the Tawfik Lab in June 2019 as a visiting scholar. He has returned to Shimane University, Japan, where he works as an anesthesiologist and emergency physician.
Huaishuang Shen, MD Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar
Huaishuang is an Orthopedic surgeon from the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University (China). He is now back at his home institution pursuing Orthopaedic Surgery residency

Yoshinori Takemura, MD, PhD Visiting Assistant Professor, Toyama University
After a year as a Visiting Scholar in the Tawfik Lab, Yoshinori is now back working as an anesthesiologist and pain clinician at the University of Toyama, Japan.

Megan Nickerson Lab Manager & Research Assistant
Megan joined the lab in February 2024 as a full-time lab manager and research assistant.
Cal Bridges Research Assistant
Cal joined the Tawfik Lab in June 2021 as a full-time research assistant. He is now a PhD student at Stanford.
Nolan Huck, BS Research Assistant
Nolan spent 2 years in the Tawfik Lab as an RA, and is now an MSTP student at the University of California at Irvine.

Emily Johnson Clinical Research Assistant
Emily joined the Tawfik Lab as a Clinical Research Assistant in May 2018. Emily is now a PsyD student at University of Colorado
Thomas Forman, MD, PhD Research Assistant
Thomas was in the Tawfik Lab as an RA, then completed his MD/PhD degrees at the University of Colorado.
Elena Haight, MD Research Assistant
Elena joined the Tawfik Lab as an undergraduate research assistant in 2016. She is currently an anesthesiology resident at UCSF.

Dylan Mayanja Undergraduate Research Assistant
Dylan joined the Tawfik lab in May 2021 as an undergraduate researcher and is now a medical student at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science.
Juhee Vyas Undergraduate
Juhee joined the Tawfik lab in June 2019 and is an undergraduate at the University of Georgia studying genetics.
Aysha Gardner Undergraduate Research Assistant
Aysha Gardner joined the Tawfik Lab as an undergraduate research assistant in June 2020. She is now working in healthcare consulting in San Francisco.

Claire joined the Tawfik Lab as an undergraduate research assistant in January 2019. She is now working at the Stanford Center on Longevity.

Fiona graduated from UC Davis and after 2 summers in the Tawfik Lab is pursuing further research at UC Davis.
